Fall/Winter 2024 Thursdays 5:30-8:30 A highly structured 8-week class that teaches the most important fundamentals of painting. We cover basic setup for effective painting, acrylic paint material & tools options, paint mixing and color theory, brush handling, and compositional design. Three different styles of painting are explored.

Fall/Winter 2024 Thursdays 1:00-4:00 This class created for intermediate and advanced students who are already experienced with basic concepts of painting, where they can further explore, and improve their skills. Students will focus on self-guided projects with instructor assistance. Regular one-on-one feedback sessions with the instructor will guide students to the next level based on the individual painter. This class will help experienced painting students deepen their painting practice.

In other words, not “abstract”.

Your knowledge will deepen about each stage of planning: composition, sizing, what to leave in, add, emphasize or modify in order to create an engaging artwork from even the most ordinary photo! *Not suitable for beginners or intermediate level

Next date to be announced This class teaches you to see and draw correct proportions, linear perspective and atmospheric perspective. Use pencil & charcoal to learn what to look for when drawing objects and landscapes.
